Security Alarm System Decals

Decals are very important to home security because they are alerting the world that you have a home alarm. Criminals don’t like risking their safety by breaking in to a home that they know has an alarm system. Decals show that your home is protected and that a burglar should avoid your house and find another easier target.

Decals are meant to show the public that your home has a home alarm system. They are there to advertise that your home is not an easy target. Decals are a preventative measure to warn burglars to find another home to break in to.

Decals are usually not very large, but they should be big enough to be easily seen. Normally decals are printed on the front with your security company’s name, logo and a security message. Decals can be peeled off of paper or plastic and placed on a window or clear surface.

There are obvious benefits for using decals around your home. Decals don’t require any maintenance or electricity. They can also be placed anywhere with little worry to them compromising the integrity of your alarm system or home.

A nice thing with decals are that they normally come with your alarm package. They are an additional security measure, so they should be included with the other equipment that you receive. If you are still deciding on the right security company, ask if decals come with their normal security packages.

Decals are a popular choice, even for people that don’t actually have alarm systems. They are cheap and easier to install than most safety equipment out there. The only way a burglar would be able to tell if you were bluffing or not would be to break in to your home, which is something that most criminals would not want to test out.

Even though people do use decals alone, they work best and most effectively when used with an existing alarm system. Professional decals are needed for them to work properly. Fake decals can easily be spotted and won’t fool anyone.

When placing decals around your home be sure that they are at all your home’s entrances. They should be seen easily, especially from a distance. Don’t forget to place the decals on the top floor as well as the bottom floor.
