How To Deodorize Your House

By Margret Jones

I do all my household cleanings regularly and I am quite satisfied with the cleanliness of my house. But, I still notice some unpleasant smells from time to time. Sometimes I find my bathroom smells and sometimes I find my kitchen smells. I have tried to eliminate such smells with different brands of deodorizers, but I am not really satisfied with the results. Later on, I discover that I do not need these expensive deodorizers for eliminating the house odors. They can be easily removed with some inexpensive stuff in your house.

The smell of mold is very common especially for those humid houses or humid areas in your houses. You may find the strongest mold smell in your wardrobe. To remove such mold odor, you may simple put a piece of bath soap or a small bag of tea into your wardrobe. The small bag should be thin enough to facilitate air flow.

Odor of cigarette is disgusting and it may last in your house for a long time. By opening the window to facilitate the ventilation may not have great effect on cigarette odor removal. You can soak a cloth with white vinegar and whisk it in the house. Or, you may burn a candle to remove such smell.

Though you may have cleaned your bathroom thoroughly, you notice an unpleasant smell regularly. To eliminate such smell, you can try white vinegar again. Put a small cup of white vinegar in the bathroom and the smell will go away!

After refurbishment or renovation, there is usually a smell of paint in your house. This paint smell can be easily eliminated. Put two tubs of cold salt solution in your house and the smell goes away in 1 to 2 days. You may also add onion into the water which serves exactly the same purpose.

I have a metal trash can at home and it sometimes smells. Removing the trash from it does a little help for the strong odor. One of my friends teaches me an effective method. It is better to burn a piece of paper inside the rubbish bin. After the piece of paper is burnt, the smell goes away.
