How To Make Money -

By Brian Lett

If you are one of those internet marketers who just cannot seem to figure out how to make money, then it is time for you to start taking advantage of what you have available to you. In particular, I am taking about Web 2.0. Okay, do not panic. Many people are very intimidated when encountered with new terminology, such as Web 2.0. With that having been said, it is nothing more than what you have been hearing about since you became an online marketer. For instance, video marketing, social bookmarking, article marketing, and podcasting are all examples of Web 2.0. Not too scary, are they?

Below, I am going to outline what I feel are the three most important aspects of Web 2.0 for you as an internet marketer. Being an internet marketer, your goal is to disseminate your message quickly to targeted markets. These methods will enable you to do just that.

1. Tagging Your Work

Do not get too caught up on the term, “tag”. A tag is simply a keyword which is used to identify the subject matter of your composition. This is so that it can be easily identified by your niche market. Thus, if you were to create an online video, you would want to “tag” it with keywords which those who are in your niche market would use to search for such a video. Of course, tagging is not limited to just online videos. Articles, blog postings, Hub Pages, podcasts, and everything else which fits underneath the Web 2.0 umbrella can be tagged.

2. Acting in Unison

I am sure that you have read an article before which has received a large number of “Diggs” or which has been “Buzzed Up”. A large part of the reason why you came across such an article is because others have propped it up and made it relevant. Once enough people click on the link, and recommend that others also read the article, it gains credibility with the search engines, and is often a feature story. Just imagine if this happened to one of your articles. Were this to happen, the exposure which your internet business would receive would go through the roof. The good news is that even if your article does gain such attention, you can still benefit from one which does. Simply provide a compelling comment on the article, and add your link.

3. Web Syndication

This is one of the greatest things about Web 2.0. The fact that your content has the chance to appear on other people’s websites. Often times this is effected via an RSS (Really Simple Syndication) Feed. Other websites can subscribe to your feed, and receive your content to their website. This drives exposure for your website across numerous platforms, while providing subscribing websites with up to the date, relevant content.

While this was by no means an exhaustive look at Web 2.0, you should have a clear understanding of how to make money by utilizing it. As an online marketer, you need to be able to get information to a large targeted audience quickly. This not only gives you the capacity to form a relationship with your audience, but also to show them that you are an authority in your field. You may have heard this before, but relationship building is the key to success in online marketing. Who do you think a person would rather make a purchase from, someone who they just met, or someone who they know? Unquestionably, it is the latter. This is especially the case when time and time again this individual has demonstrated that they are educated in their field. If you are willing to put forth a consistent effort, and be patient for the results, you will have success in this business.

If you are still struggling to figure out How To Make Money in a world which has increasingly gone online, I highly recommend that you look at using social media as your weapon of choice.
