Mahogany is well-known for the excellent durability and high standard quality. Interior, exterior or entry doors, it perfectly fits into every role. The building industry has benefited hugely from its incredible color, its lock grain, and its powerful structure. Mahogany was called Jamaican wood until the 1700s, when it started to be preferred for furniture, which was the case as Jamaica was where it was mostly sourced from.

Mahogany is typically red-brown in color, although when it looks pink, salmon or golden hue at first sight. Disclosure normally causes the wood to enhance its color. Unlike pine trees (coniferous trees), which is considered to be soft wood, this wood is hard and strong in nature. It has profound odor and close up grain.

Honduras mahogany grown in America and tropical areas of the world is one of the two major kinds of mahogany used for making doors, instruments, and furniture. The close grain, reddish brown color, and lightness of the Honduras mahogany stands out from other kinds.

The second kind of mahogany generally called as Swietenia Mahogany. Some people prefer to refer to it as Spanish or Cuban mahogany. Most expensive products and merchandise are made of this kind of mahogany. Outstandingly dark reddish brown, it is denser and more highly grained than the Swietenia Macrophylla.

Doors made of mahogany last longer and have more conventional quality than any other kind on earth. It is known to be one of the popular woods for all types of door; mahogany makes a rock-solid statement and is the fashion accessory with the capability to include an artistic favor to the doors. More than a few houses benefit from the munificent assertion that is mahogany doors in the home.
