Why You Should Opt For Kids Loft Beds

By Mathew Merola

Kids loft beds are a great addition to the room of your little ones. Basically, they closely resemble bunk beds, but without the lower bunks. The space below is usually just an open area which can be used for several different purposes. Or sometimes they may also come with built in furniture pieces, like desks or drawers.

There are many benefits to enjoy when you go for such bed type. But perhaps none is an obvious as the space-saving benefit. Space is something that you need to make the most out of. This is especially true in an urban setting, such as in a small condominium or apartment. It takes up space in a vertical manner, so there’s plenty of space left horizontally.

You may use the empty, open area below the elevated bed for purposes you see fit. If you’re little one is already attending school, such can be used to hold a study desk, computer and other necessities. It may also be allotted for storing shoes, bags, toys, school supplies and other belongings, thus the room can be maintained clutter-free.

Since some of these beds already come with built-in furnishings below, it’s a great way to save time for shopping. Some come with built in desks, shelves, drawers and other storage solutions. And simply imagine the amount of money you save for getting a bed with all these things below it.

Available designs, colors and themes are plenty. In choosing, it’s best if you let your little one decide on one which he or she finds lovely. Of course you child’s best buds may come over your house to check out the new bedroom addition. Should they decide to have a sleep over, simply place a mattress under the high-rise bed for an extra sleeping space.

The bed above and the free space below can easily be your child’s playground. Such can be a castle, space craft, dungeon, mansion, or anything else his or her imagination turns it into. Playtime now doesn’t have to involve the outdoors. There are even models with tents or slides, in place of a usual ladder, to provide more fun in your kid’s bedroom.

Kids loft beds are an excellent choice, be it for maximizing space or making your child’s bedroom fun looking. Materials and designs to choose from are extensive. There are plenty of functions that the space below the elevated bed can serve. Best of all, it’s a great way to keep the bedroom organized.
