The size of the stone is largely defined by the structure of the road. If an overpass or ramp is being built, larger boulders will be used at the base and smaller stones will be used near the top. Building foundations require strong materials in order for them to be effective. While some construction companies will use recycled materials, others will opt for new raw materials.
