Babies by nature are quite inquisitive and are always exploring things which they find around them by touching them and are always moving around places. Parents are always searching for new ways to keep their cherished ones safe. Allowing the babies to explore things and places has lots of risk attached with it. The baby safety gates are such tools which would let your treasured one move around and discover new things without restricting his freedom.

Even the thought of your baby near any hot appliance or pointed objects, burning fireplaces, electric outlets or even in any workshop area or staircase is enough to send shivers down your spine. The safety gates will not only give them the space to gratify their ever curious mind but will also ensure complete safety. The safety gates bring about the true amalgamation of safety, security along with self learning for your babies.

But the question is in what way do these safety gates ensure your toddlers security along with controlled freedom? The baby safety gates simply create obstacles for the baby on the way to the places where there is a chance for your baby to get injured. Places like the kitchen, staircase, bathroom or any other kind of such places are not safe for any child without any supervision. The gates as required can be shifted from one place to another depending on the places the parents decides not to let the child go.

The safety gates are of two types – Pressure based one and the other one is hardware based. The pressure based one comes with the advantage of easy installation process that can be completed within a few minutes and that too with minimum amount of effort. Mostly this type of safety gates are used for places like the hallway or the top or bottom of staircases. By the method of expansion and tightening the gates, against the supports, which are present at both sides, these gates are installed. Owing to the presence of built in swing and stop mechanism, these gates are mostly used at the top of staircases which forbids the kid to swing open the gate. Besides, these gates also prevent any kind of tripping as it does not have any horizontal oriented bars.

The pressure mounted baby safety gates are suited for parents who are thinking of taking their babies along with them for a holiday, these gates are portable. One of the popular choices, these gates is quite cost effective. But, you need to remember that these gates are not suitable for placing them on top of the staircases since it has weak foundation. So, there lies the danger of your toddler toppling over them. The hardware mounted ones are the best suited one for staircases. These although comes at a little high price and are also labor intensive but it will last for a long period of time. The same gates can be uninstalled and kept and reused for the next baby you have.

Undeniably, baby safety gates offer the ample protection to help build a healthy learning environment for toddlers. They do not hamper the temperament of children to discover their surroundings but fairly encourage it along with ensuring their well-being. With the existence of safety gates, parents can now be free from anxiety from watching over their baby, and that the toddler would get that protection and freedom it needs and desires.
