Present-Giving Ideas For Toddlers And Parents

By CJ Smith

There is nothing more precious than the day a new baby comes into your life. Even if this little angel is not your own, their tiny facial features, hands and toes can melt your heart in less than 5 seconds. Some compare the first moments of a new baby entering the world – at par with love at first site.

So what could you possibly gift the new parent(s) of this sweet pea – that would compare to the gift of life they have been given with their new born? Nothing CAN ever compare, that’s a fact. So now that we have that out of the way, the better question is – what can you gift the parent(s) that will show them how happy you are for them?

Traditional gifts include baby albums (even though every parent gets a large stack of them), plush toys, cute onesie’s, piggy banks, mobiles, noisy toys, educational toys and all of the other typical store bought baby items.

But what if you don’t want to give a traditional or typical baby gift item? What if you want to think of the hard work mom had to put in for 9 months (not to mention the 18+ years she will put in going forward)? What if you want to think about dad and how proud he is to extend his personal legacy into the world? What gift items could possibly honor all family members at the same time?

Personalized gifts will last an eternity. Engraved gift sets (of mugs, cups, plates, spoons, forks, glasses etc) will last a lifetime – but could be costly. Embroidered sets of towels, face cloths, blankets etc. are also a great gift idea – but they too could be costly in the end.

If you are budget conscious, a set of customized christmas tree ornaments are the perfect gift! You can get one for each family member; mom, dad and baby – matching their skin tones and hair color – even their favorite sport or hobby. You could also get group ornaments (again with matching skin and hair colors); adding siblings as well. Plus you can now personalize ornaments with family member names, years of significance and special sentiments that mean something very special to your loved ones. Personalized ornaments are gifts that will keep on giving, year after year.
