Quite often, fertility is neglected unless you encounter someone having difficulty getting pregnant. The truth is, many couples are really having fertility problems. These are usually because of the man’s fertility. So, here is important information for men trying to get pregnant.

There are certain medical illnesses which are considered to affect male fertility. This involves a small grouping of dilated veins which gives an impact on the balance of hormones and body temperature within the scrotum. In such cases, consult a urologist.

Childhood illnesses will also be known to play a part in male infertility. Viral diseases like mumps are known to have negative effect on the testicle which can lead to infertility for men. You also might want to check your past regarding previous surgeries done especially near the scrotal area as this can also affect your fertility.

Adverse effects of some drugs can cause disorders of the reproductive system. Drugs to control hypertension, for instance, are known to cause impotence. So, check with your physician before planning to take or discontinue any medications.

Substances are about us wherever we go. But, it is important to know there are many of them who have triggered infertility. Therefore, you should be cautious concerning chemicals like that of heavy metals, radiation, or other overwhelming substances which can have an impact on your health.

Even as you would if you are living healthy, you must avoid taking unlawful drugs, cigarette, and alcohol. Get sufficient sleep, and have the enough rest you need. Don’t forget to have a well-balanced diet and sustain your normal weight. Stay away from extremely high temperature. It’s about time to let go of your briefs and go for the boxers to cool off your scrotal area. Avoid wearing tight clothes, saunas, and hot tubs as this can affect the heat-sensitive sperm cells.

Learn about the menstrual cycle of your wife. Bear in mind that your sperm cells can only live between 3 and 5 days inside a female. Therefore, set your sexual intercourse in such a way that it happens during ovulation, or for an easier way, right amidst the cycle, approximately 2 weeks prior to menstruation.

Get the proper amount of intercourse. In as much as you would want to have sex whenever you want, you will have to regulate the frequency of your intercourse in such a way that you won’t get too little or too plenty. In that case, you might want to do the deed every other day or every 48 hours at most.

In case it has been a year and you are still not getting pregnant, then it’s time to check in with your gynecologist. There might be a necessity for fertility assessment especially for men trying to get pregnant. Each of these are valuable information if you want to get pregnant, so always heed these tips for each time you want to be successful at getting pregnant.
