Man oh man, you saw it coming, how could you not? And now you are crying in your beer like a maudlin old fool, all because you finally got kicked to the curb like you deserved. Hey, it hurts to see you hurt, but suck it up! But not you, right? You really want to get your ex back.
Well soldier. you brave and plucky soul! If you are the one that did the breaking up you have got it made, especially if they did not want to lose you. A telephone call will do the trick right now for sure. But if you got booted? This is going to be tough and it could get downright ugly.
Believe this, too, if you got the boot it really was your entire fault. If they said otherwise it was only because they still had a shred of pity left for you. So the thing to do at this point is to figure out what is wrong with you. You do this so you do not have to do it all over again. This is hard, but the first hint is in what they said to you as the frying pan came flying at your head.
Now that you figured out what you did that makes you a jerk, you have got to make up for it. You may have to beg, plead, whine and grovel, but you are going to have to apologize like you really mean it. This could get really ugly, but this is what you wanted to do, so get to it. Tears might help.
Now here is the kicker: If you are sorry, and you really mean it, you have to go and sin no more. You must change your ways once and for all, and never repeat that same stupid behavior that got you tossed out like old fruit. This is not fun, it is not easy, and you may hate yourself for it. But at least you have been warned.
What you really ought to do is go to a monastery or something for a few months until you get your head back straight. What you need to do is leave them alone and go take care of yourself. Do not call them, do not pester their friends, and do not drive by their house at two in the morning like a deranged stalker. But if you must get your ex back, here is how, and it will not be pretty.
