By building an energy efficient home you can relax knowing that you have done a major part in conserving your planet. It has been estimated that sixteen percent of greenhouse gasses produced in the United States every year come from energy that is used in homes. So it means that the less energy used that there is less greenhouse gas produced.

If you decide to build an energy efficient home you will not feel any cold breezes blowing through you home unless you have a window open, your home will be warm and comfortable. The new energy efficient homes are protected against cold, heat, drafts, and moisture. It will not only improve the air quality inside but it also keeps the temperature consistent.

Open up your blinds and curtains and let the natural light shine in, this is how you can save the most on your bill and it is the best way to conserve energy.

When you are using your home appliances you are using a lot of energy. The best way to save energy here is to shop for new appliances that have the energy star. The expense of these appliances might be more but in the end you will be saving.

One of the best ways to make your home energy efficient is to install solar panels. They use natural resources to create energy. There are also solar panels that are available that can heat water they are called solar thermal collectors. What a great way to use the suns energy.
