The False Claims Act is about shifting the image of company America by discouraging crime
The False Claims Act is more than just the money; instead it is about changing the face of company America by daunting crime. It is comprehensible that a few of the people feel that they don’t want to rock the ship for fear of some kind of reprisal, whether through their work, or through friends.
In actual fact the government has a whistleblower protection law in which any person must refrain from terminating, postponing, demoting, hectoring or abusing a whistleblower. If they do any of the above, then the whistleblower is permitted to file important damages at once against the suspect for any stress and anguish caused.
It is bizarre to think about the govt. wanting our help as average citizens, but that is precisely what is happening. When so many folk are out to scam administration programs, it requires a lot of eyes and ears to help stop it. And by helping the governing body, we help ourselves. After all , we fund the government as taxpayers. It is our bucks that fund programs, and our dollars that perpetrators are trying to get a hold of. We should all be outraged by govt fraud, because we will pay the price in the shape of increased taxes and a decrease in programs.
Cases related to whistleblowing and qui tam are normally under seal for sixty days implying that no-one will be conscious of your whistleblowing activities (except for the government departments involved) and that includes the people responsible
. As you can see, the government has now brought into play a powerful non-public “public relationship when it comes to exposing fraud and the resources are available for any person that commits their time to pursuing such a claim. It's just a case of whether you may do the right thing or or brush it under the carpet and forget all about it ever occurred.
