Dyslexia Test – Your Guide

Dyslexia is now a common problem these days that is why more and more people are taking the dyslexia test to know if they are positive of dyslexia. You’d be surprised to know that the number of identified cases is growing not because of the big number of dyslexic adults today but because more and more people are becoming aware of their real condition and are openly subjecting themselves to dyslexia test and dyslexia treatments.

Not a lot of people were aware of the condition dyslexia. Some of them just grew up without any dyslexia treatment. Fortunately, some people outgrew it naturally. Now that science and medicine has identified this condition a lot of people have become so eager to look for medical help right after they’ve suspected they have dyslexia.

Aside from taking the dyslexia test, there are a lot of ways to tell that you are positive of dyslexia. You need to be observant of the signs and symptoms, as there are signs that can be naturally observed. However, if you are positive of dyslexia, there are a lot of signs indicating your condition is serious.

Taking a spelling test is one simple dyslexia test that would indicate you are positive of dyslexia. People suffering from dyslexia find it hard to spell words, both simple and complicated. Words as simple as friend, enough, they, because, island, any, said, and many can be hard to spell. Dyslexics may also spell words according to their sound. These words include please/plese, knock/nock, search/serch, journey/jerney, and does/dus.

Dyslexia test may also test your ability to distinguish left and right. It is a good idea to ask a family or friend to instruct you to use your left and right hand or feet to do some things such as pointing your right foot using your left hand. If you are confuse with this simple instruction, then you may have dyslexia.

It is also a good idea to ask someone to evaluate if you have difficulty understanding simple math lessons. Dyslexic patients also find it hard to understand concepts of sequences.

You can also be evaluated for comprehension problem using a simple dyslexia test, as this test can also evaluate the comprehension ability of a person. People suffering from dyslexia may find it hard to retain, remember, or repeat what has just been said to them.

Your ability to follow instructions may also be evaluated by a simple dyslexia test. People with dyslexia may find it hard to follow simple instructions, more so complicated instructions that involve multiple sequences or two or more procedures.

If the dyslexia test has shown that you have this condition, you’d better seek professional help right away. Keep in mind that while this condition can be serious, it can be treated with proper and immediate professional or expert help.
