The minor arcana of the tarot are the cards that concern the conventional issues of life. There are a total of 78 cards in the modern tarot deck. 56 of these cards are a part of the minor arcana. There are 4 suits that make up the minor arcana. They consist of Pentacles, Cups, Swords and Wands. Each suit stands for one of the 4 elements. They portray the multiple attitudes about day to day existence. A tarot reading can announce how each aspect is merged into our lives.
The Wands Suit:
The suit of wands represents the element of fire and the season of spring. Elevation from the flicker of ingenuity is laid out in these 14 cards. It is the suit of power, tenacity and creativity. Some of the attributes indicated by the wands suit are confidence, ability, and productivity.
Suit of Cups:
The suit of cups corresponds to the quality of water. Summer is this suits’ season of the year. It signifies womanly essence and expresses the yin energy. Individual speculation, contemplation and intrinsic judgments come forward with this suit, with regard to passion and relations. When these cards are drawn, they present the emotive force of the subject being read.
The Swords Suit:
The suit of swords portrays the quality of air and the season of autumn. It represents privilege and the capacity to adapt or modify swiftly. It furthermore represents truth and justice. When these cards are drawn they aid us to gauge the essence of our own truths.
Suit of Pentacles:
The suit of pentacles is signified by the element of earth and the season of winter. All things terrestrial and physical are dealt with this suit. This suit stands for your 5 senses and what you experience. They express wealth, business, aptitude and success. This suit helps you to interpret what issues are influencing these parts of your life and how to free up any blockages.
