7 Good Reasons Why President Obama Is The Right Choice For 2012
By Jason Davis
A popular myth among too many uninformed voters is that there are no true differences between the Democrats and the Republicans. While this belief is factually incorrect, it is born out of a kernel of truth. There are some important issues where there is not as much difference between these parties as there really should be; for example; both parties are too in debt to big business. But it is illogical to assume that because there are areas of similarities that means there no areas of difference.
Some of the differences between the Democrats and Republicans can be seen quite clearly in this list of 7 reasons to vote for Obama again in 2012. It is important to realize that just because Obama is wrong on some issues that doesn’t mean he is not right on some other issues.
1. “ObamaCare.” With the multitude of lies that have been told about health care reform it’s understandable if you don’t immediately see this as the positive that it is but when you seriously look at what health care reform does it is a very good thing. There would have been no health care reform with John McCain as President.
2. The Supreme Court. The President has made two excellent nominations for the Supreme Court and if he is elected for another 4 years he may get to make more. If John McCain had made these two nominations instead the Supreme Court would now be slanted 7 to 2 in favor of corporations instead of people. The importance of this cannot be exaggerated, it’s plenty of reason enough to vote for Obama again by itself.
3. The Iraq War. Remember that McCain said he would be fine with continuing the Iraq War for another 100 years. Obama said he would end the Iraq War and he has done so..
4. President Obama signed the Children’s Health Insurance Reauthorization Act into law. It provides health insurance for four million children who were previously without health insurance. John McCain voted no.
5. Obama’s American Jobs Act. While the Republicans in congress have blocked the American Jobs Act, that doesn’t stop it from being a great plan that would create nearly two million new jobs in the United States.
6. Mitt Romney. Romney actually said “Corporations are people.” That should really be case closed. Anyone who votes for Romney is asking for more of the trickle down economics that got our country into this economic mess to begin with.
7. Obama signed the Lily Ledbetter Fair Pay Act in 2009. McCain was opposed.
There are many important reasons to vote in presidential elections not least of which is protecting Medicare from the GOP which has been trying to destroy this “socialist” program since it was created by LBJ & the Democratic Party in the 1960s.
