The Need For Agile And Lean Project Managers
By Finn Craist
After graduating from high school, a student is usually told to take up a course that is in demand today. However, the problem is, after the student graduates from that 4-year course, that course has lowered in terms of demand. So, it is important that before you take up a course, you will first have to predict future demands so you will not end up graduating from a course that employers do not really need.
In order to make a reliable prediction, you should have someone help you look into the economy and technology. Your question should be, in 4-5 years, how will the economy be? What jobs would be highly sought after? If you do research by looking into the different online resources, you will be able to enroll in a course which you can use to be able to have strong financial stability.
A decade ago, nurses were highly sought after in the Middle East, America and Europe. Filipino nurse went abroad rather than stay in the Philippines to get a job. This is because on average, nurses only get a salary of 7,000-10,000Php per month. However, if they work abroad, they can get up to five times this amount in salary.
This reduced the number of nurses in the Philippines and in the US, most nurses in hospitals were Filipinos. They preferred getting Filipinos for the job as they are usually caring and attentive to the patients. Filipinos are raised in a caring and loving environment, thus these characteristics are already instilled in their personalities. Thus, the families of these nurses encouraged their fresh graduates to take up nursing so they can have a good opportunity for employment abroad.
However, when they graduated after 5 years, the demand for nurses lowered. Nowadays, agile project management and lean project management are now in demand. They work in industries creating new products that will fill a new need. The lean managers would the create ways of manufacturing these with the least amount of expenses.
Are you in search for a course that will be in demand after you gradute? Take up agile project management and become an asset in every industry.
