Understanding How To Pray To God

Do you feel intimidated when someone asks you to pray? Do you want to talk to God about something, but you don’t know how? When you discover how to pray to God, you will soon realize that it is not as difficult or intimidating as it may seem. It is the same as talking to a friend or someone you know very well.

To Communicate with God means to tell Him things about yourself that you would say to your closest friend. When you look at it from that perspective, then it is not as difficult as it may seem. The only real difference is that you cannot see Him. Then on the other hand, if you are on the phone with a friend you cannot see him or her. It may help if you understand it in this way.

God is not restricted by the limits that humans have everyday. He can be many places at once through his spirit. Your friends may be able to certain places at certain times, and you can talk to them only for so long. It is not this way with God. You can talk to him anytime, wherever you are. There is no need for a schedule.

There are different positions that people take when they pray in terms of kneeling and the folding of hands. The reality is that kneeling is not the only way to talk to God. This is the reason why some people don’t truly communicate with Him effectively, because they believe that it is restricted to a ritual. As long as you are sincere, He will hear you.

Now think about this, is God is everywhere at all times, does this mean that through His Spirit He exist inside of you? You see, prayer is a form of meditation when you understand this very important truth. You commune with your own heart but in reality you are talking to God.

Even though He is in all places, it does not mean that whatever you say in you alone time with God will be not be put on display to everyone else. On the contrary secrets are safe, even more so than with your friends.

Do you find it difficult when you are trying to talk to someone, but they do not listen to you? This is probably one of the most important areas in any relationship, yet it is so often neglected. This comes from an age where people tend to think about themselves and what they want. If you really want to know how to pray to God, listening is something that needs to be mastered. Who knows you might even here his voice.
