A Simple Recipe For Pupcakes

By Jill Faulkner

Dog lovers are known to always spoil their dogs because they believe that their pets should get the same treatment as humans. That is why, it is very common nowadays to see sweets and treats made specially for dogs. Among these treats, the most popular ones are the pupcakes or puppy dog cupcakes. For those who do not know about this wonderful treat, here is a recipe.

The ingredients are actually very easy to get and the treat itself is not difficult to make. Basically, all one would need are a few carrots, one cup of flour, a couple of eggs, some oil, and of course one tablespoon of baking soda. Of course one may add more things just to add more flavor and design but that will come in the later part.

The first thing to do would be make sure that the carrots is clean by washing them really well under the faucet. Once that is done, peel the skin and continue to wash the carrots just to be safe. Then shred them into small pieces and pour them into a small cup which will be used for later.

Next thing to do would be to mix the eggs, the oil, the baking soda, and the flour in a bowl and stir it all up. When the ingredients are mixed up well, dump in the carrots and continue stirring until everything is finally blended. In this step, one may opt to add other flavorings in order to make the treat taste better. He may choose to add some peanut butter, cinnamon, or some vanilla extract to add taste.

Once everything is already well mixed, get some cupcake tins and pour the batter inside. One thing to always remember is to not fill the batter to the rim because it will still expand when heated. After that, place all of them in a tray and put them into the oven and heat them up at 350 degrees for about twenty minutes.

So while the cupcakes are heating in the oven, one might as well make the frosting. To make it, warm some cream cheese to warm temperature so that it does not become hard. Then stir it into a bowl until it gets a smooth texture. Mix it along with some honey, sugar, or yogurt so that it has a nice texture.

Once the frosting is finished, it is time to get the tray out of the oven and cool down the cupcakes. Wait for a few minutes until it is cool and rather formed, put the frosting all over the top of the cupcake. One may even be creative and make up some frosting designs for his cupcakes so that he can satisfy his need to be artistic.

So basically, that is how to make pupcakes for dogs. Now one may more creative and add some sprinkles on the top to give it a twist. He may also spread more peanut butter or even chocolate on the top of the cupcake so that he can give it an extra flavoring.
