Honshu, with its diverse climate, explains why Shiba Inu puppies are adaptable and versatile. The climate at Honshu has an extreme heat and even humidity during summer and deep snow can be found during winter time. Adapting to the different climates of the places such as Vancouver to Adelaide, Vladivostok to Singapore and many more is a great trait of a Shiba Inu. Thus, you don’t have to worry in bringing it around to different places.

These puppies have fur which is quite amazing. Its fur has a great truth behind. What is it? Well, the fur of this breed is built for very cold seasons. If you’re scared that they might die because of too much cold, well do not worry because they can withstand colder climate. Warm season is not a problem for these dogs because they can withstand heat too although you may see them in colder parts of your house during warm seasons. The funny thing about them is that they look so crazily happy when the feel and experience the cold.

Characteristics and Traits of Shiba Inu Dogs

This is why the popularity of this dog is continuously growing until today. Shiba Inu puppies are quite hard to train but with firmness and consistency, you might get a good response from them.

These dogs are like big animals although they have a small body. You might not like this breed if you are a person that might easily get nervous. The good thing about these shiba inu puppies is that they are quite loyal to their owners and they have a great deal of awareness with their actual feeling. Just don’t leave these puppies alone because they really need to be given human interaction. The sound of these puppies is like the sound of a “yodel”. When they bark, they bark for a good reason, because these dogs do not bark that often.

Although these puppies are favored by some dog owners because of their appearance, it is still quite problematic for a breeder to raise and keep it because of its personality. The appearance of these dogs is more of an orange or red tint. Other colors like black, salt and pepper, black and white, black and tan, are also available. Its fur gives them a foxy look because of its length, thickness and harshness.

These puppies have been bred down specifically because of their foxy expression, slanted eyes, and deep red color. These dogs also have a trail that curls over their back in a more general spitz-type manner. Of course, when you are planning to breed Shiba Inu, do not be lured by their looks alone.
