Old English Bulldog breeders sure do have gone through a lot when it comes to their dogs. They can always say something when the extinct dog breed is being talked about. They certainly know how to prepare and groom it up to breeding it. This breed is said to be heavy and possesses a wide and muscular body as well. It can reach the height of up to fifteen inches and could weigh about 45 pounds.

These animals are docile but are still capable of protecting themselves. They look fierce and courageous but are really friendly around friends and family. This is a simple way of communication between both creatures. These dogs are said to live for a span of eleven years. Grooming will not be needed in this case therefore having such pet would not bring hassle to their owners.

Bloat may be a possible health problem that you might encounter upon having such breed. This is a condition that is caused by consuming a large quantity of food at one time. This is indeed a painful and fatal condition. Hip dysplasia can also occur but breeders are working hard to keep it out of this breed.

These bulldogs can easily adapt to any lifestyle and condition. Though they must also be secured from conditions like extreme coldness and hotness. They are sensitive when it comes to those conditions. A daily walk with them may also help them satisfy their migration instincts. They also become happy by simply exercising. These bulldogs are slow in nature. They do have a unique structure of their bodies, hence they should not try jumping and getting into stressful activities.

If you choose to breed your pet, there would be lots to consider. Ask a veterinarian that has encountered a lot with regards to bulldogs. If necessary, research as well. Always check for its condition if it can handle pregnancy.

Breed only those with a healthy condition. Make sure that is eighteen months old and does not have any major defect. This would be the perfect candidate for breeding. Do not breed when you do not have plans in committing to the animal. See to it that you will understand and attend to all its need.
