Which Black And White Kitten Is Right For You?

Cat lovers have their choices of domesticated kittens. These little kittens are being loved for its companionship and its ability to hunt household pests. Black and white kittens are the most common bicolor pet most home lovers cared for.

A tuxedo cat is a well-known low-grade spotting black and white feline, which is also known informally as Billicat. A tuxedo cat is considered solid black all over the body with limited white markings to the paws, belly, chest, throat, face, and chin.

One of the most outgoing and affectionate of all cat breeds and considered a natural treasure in Turkey– the Turkish Angora. The bi-color class to have the black and white pattern has this white feet, legs, undersides, chest, and muzzle while black on the rest of the body. Originated in the same native land, Turkish Van is simply a color variation of the better known Angora. Their appearance seem to be different in type, size, boning and coat.

A handsome breed of black and white domestic Maine Coon kitten won an award being the 5th Best Kitten in the 2008-2009 CFA Top 25 Kittens Show Season. Looking at the feline’s cute kitten pictures having this glossy tri-coat covering, this Gentle Giant proved something along with its flowery cat history.

Mother Nature has such a way in taking care of cats. The Wegies– Norwegian Forest Cats appear in black and white pattern among their many cat color classes have these distinguishing double coat consisting of dense undercoat covered by long glossy hairs hanging down the sides. Like most long hairs, their coat is full in winter than summertime.

Having a patented uniquely curled-back ears is the distinctive feature of the American Curl– as the name suggests. The American Curl may have three degrees of curl having the third degree the preferred one. These felines have the shorthair type and the longhaired division.

Black and white Persian cats are the perfect contrasting bi-colors ever bringing balance and refinement to their ever popularity. Mostly black, white patterns are seen on feet, legs, undersides, chest, muzzle, tail and patches on the head. Their lovable pansy-like faces and their tuxedo-like coverings are a perfect combination!

With any degree of spotting, black and white kittens may have some color smudges on the cheeks, chin, nose, undersides, and tail. Some have white paws and black toes. Their patterns vary from the smallest locket-type, tuxedo attire, Dalmatian spottings, swirled and skunk stripes, and some sheeted shades. With the vast breed of felines, the Siberians, Japanese Bobtails, Exotic cats, and British Shorthairs are also among the lucky ones to have these bi-color combination.
