Lately, I Lost My Job
By Laura Hawn
Not long ago, I lost my job. I’ve been working at the same place for over ten years. Due to modern technology, my position was taken over by a machine. Almost all of the other positions will also be taken over by machines. We are now all out of work.
I’ve been trying to apply for other jobs, but I have been collecting unemployment and now it is getting ready to run out. I have still not found a job, so I am compelled to take measures. I have been living in the same house ever since I acquired this job. It was actually the house I was married in and it was the house my children were raised in. Due to my low-income, I will need to move into a flat. The house I am currently living in has just about five bedrooms.
There are four bedrooms upstairs and there’s a bedroom downstairs that was a cellar before. I have furniture for all those rooms. Now that I am moving into an apartment, I am going to must do something with all of my furniture.
This furniture means a lot to me so I do not wish to sell it. I may be able to sell a couple of things, but all this furniture had been handed down from my father to me. I would like to get a local NYC mini storage unit to put all of my furniture in while I am moving to a flat. My little girl has been looking for local storage NYC units.
She said she had found the ideal one for me, but I’m not sure. We intend to both need to go look at it so I can decide if this is where I would like to put the majority of my things till I am able to afford a home again.
Laura Hawn has always loved NYC mini storage. She has written many articles on mini storage in NYC.
