Old Home Brooklyn Apartments Rexburg, New Home Chicago

By Henry C Drake

Psyched out- was how it felt the day I started living on my own.  I was really ecstatic about residing at Brooklyn apartments Rexburg.  I loved the thought of living in a small city and just start my life from there.  But now that I have experienced living on my own for the past four years, I believe I am ready for a huge metropolis like Chicago and I am excited about moving to 1940 N. Lincoln.

Back in the days when I lived at Brooklyn apartments Rexburg, life was purely simple.  I loved that the city is not congested especially on weekdays so I never got late to work or to other meetings.  I also enjoyed the company of friends who joined the LDS community like me because it felt like we were one big family.  They kept me company and busy so I didn’t have to feel like an outsider and I was able to overcome loneliness especially without my family around.

After four years, I feel like I need a change.  I feel like I’m ready to try the big City of Brotherly Love which is I’ll be moving next week to 1940 N. Lincoln.  I know I’ll have to adjust once more like I did before when I graduated from college, but at least now, I have had the experience.  Perhaps the transition is easier for me now since I have enough savings to feel secure financially and friends whose friends are well-connected in the city.  Also, I believe I have a relative living in one of the rentals in Chicago whom I’m hoping to get acquainted with.  At least, I’d have someone I can call in case I feel lonely during my first months.

What’s more is that moving to 1940 N. Lincoln exposes me to a lot of job, education and recreational opportunities; more than in Rexburg ID.  I can finally work for financial institutions and perhaps even get a part time job teaching in one of the schools in the city.  I might even enroll and study an advanced course to become more credible and knowledgeable in my field.  After all, Chicago is home to more than a dozen colleges and universities that can address my need for work and study.  Plus, I get the chance to take advantage of the recreational perks in the metropolis like its major shopping venue at the Loop and its Millennium Park.

Hopefully, all goes well during my move to Chicago from Brooklyn apartments Rexburg.  I’m really eager to start a new life, make new friends and experience new things about the area.
