A List Of The Grandest Baseball Stadiums In The Country

By Trenton Wallace

Going on a road trip to see new baseball stadiums is an awesome way for fans to travel and see their favorite sport in one stop. There are many stadiums that are blended into downtown areas and give fans the opportunity to see a game and then check out the city after the game is over. Over the last decade, this has become more and more popular.

There are lots of ball clubs that developed their parks for this purpose, and fans seem to really like the idea. The next time you are planning on going to a game, think about how you can check out the local attractions after the game is over.

Take Coors Field in Denver as a good example. It is a popular and modern ball park that is in a beautiful part of the country. When the architects and planners developed the new park, the downtown area was in a slump. Now, the area is thriving with lots of shops and activities and has undergone a revitalization due to the stadium.

Once the stadium started having ball games, downtown Denver became a pretty popular destination for locals and for tourists. Stores and restaurants began to grow and thrive while the local breweries began to open their own pubs. Additionally, the most popular pedestrian mall in Denver is only four blocks from Coors Field.

Moving on to the west coast, we arrive at AT&T Park in San Francisco. This park is home to the Giants and has been since 2000. This area of the city is lively and very popular and has a lot of restaurants and bars along with great stores and museums.

Other things in the area include the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art as well as the Ferry Building farmers market. If you’ve never been there yet, make time to check it out when you go to your next game. There are lots of different farmers that bring organic meats, cheeses and produce.

Finally, check out Safeco Field in Seattle Washington. The ball park is built in Pioneer Square, the oldest and coolest neighborhood in Seattle. The Mariners play among some of the city’s best parks and architecture.

When you have the chance to catch the Mariners play a game, take time to explore the neighborhood. Walking in any direction around the stadium will give you a glimpse of the local culture and life of this great and cultured Seattle neighborhood.
