Baseball has long been known as America’s Pastime. However, you would be surprised to know just how many people fail to understand how the game is actually played. Well, today is your lucky day because I am going to teach you the rules of baseball.

First of all , you need to know regarding baseball is the factthat the offense try’s to score “runs” over the defense. This is successfully done just as the pitcher throws a baseball at the catcher whilst an offensive player try’s to hit that baseball by using a bat ( thiss will put the ball into play).

Generally if the offensive competitor does place the ball in play than the defense try’s to field the ball and get the player which struck the ball out. In order to get the offensive participant out then the defense must throw the ball to another defensive player who is in contact with one of the three bases found on the baseball diamond prior to when the offensive competitor can get there.

In the event the defense gets the ball toward the base before the offensive performer may get there he then is considered out. In case the defense does not get the ball to the base prior to when the offensive performer will come he then is addressed as safe. Whenever the player who actually reached the base is called safe. His purpose is always to touch all three bases and reach home plate. If he does this than the attacking team has just has scored 1 run.

Each team gets 9 innings to end the game with the highest run total. Thus each team takes half an inning to play offense and half an inning to play defense. In the event that the score is tied after 9 innings then the game will be forced to go into extra innings.

This is only a brief overview of the rules of baseball. If you are still confused and you really want to learn how the game is played then it would probably be in your best interest to go out and try playing the game yourself. After all, the best way to learn something is to actually do it first.
