Looking for some fun? Whatever you do, Don't Click Here!

The one plane vs two plane golf swing has become a popular subject within the golf world. It can be very confusing for a golfer to try and sort out all of the information out there. One golf professional tells you to use the one plane golf swing another says to use the two plane. So who should you listen to? Who is right? Well the answer to that question is…..they are both correct. That is what makes golf so confusing sometimes. There are many ways a golfer can swing a club. With that being said, what we need to do now is determine which golf swing is the right one for YOUR game. Let’s take a look…

The One Plane Golf Swing Vs. The Two Plane Golf Swing

Golf instructors are constantly trying to determine whether the one plane or two plane golf swing is better. This debate will probably continue on forever because there are professionals on the pro tour that use each type of swing.

As an example, Sam Snead, Chad Campbell, and Scott McCarron are all golfers who use the one plane golf swing. These golfers swing their club around their bodies on a more flat plane. This helps them to keep their shoulders in line at the top of the swing.

On the other hand, two planers use a more upright swinging pattern. Their left arm is much steeper than their shoulders at the top of their swing. A few professionals who use this type of swing are Jack Nicklaus, Colin Montgomerie, Hale Irwin, and Sean O’Hair.

One plane golfers focus a different set of principles for their golf swings than the two planers. In fact these principles are almost opposites of each other. This has led to the many conflicting golf lessons from instructors telling us the proper way to swing a club.

So Which Swing is Right For Me?

Now that we know the difference between the one plane and two plane golf swings we need to determine which swing is right for you. So how do we do that? We need to take a closer look.

The most important thing in choosing a golf swing is finding one that is comfortable for you. Also, the more simple your golf swing is, the easier it will be to master consistency. That is why I recommend using the one plane golf swing. Lately, more and more professional golfers are switching to the one plane golf swing for its simplicity.

The more simple your swing is, the less chances you have to make errors such as slicing, hooking, or topping the ball. What we want is a swing that is CONSISTENT and ACCURATE at the same time. To learn more about the one plane and two plane golf swings visit the links I have below:
