Golfers normally have bad days when they do not perfect their stance or setup. Posture and balance are very essential if you want to do well in the game. It is imperative that your practice your stance to get your golf swing perfect.
Start by focusing on your posture. If you’re too stiff, if your knees are bended awkwardly, or if your hands do not grip the club exactly right then you will notice an error in your golf swing. Correcting these problems right away will improve your golf swing and your scores drastically.
For example, when people stand with their knees bent too low they will naturally raise their body up during their swing. This means they will hit the top of the ball instead of its center. Standing too straight, and not bending your knees enough, will give them the same issue.
Balance your posture. Balancing your feet is a great place to start. Your feet should be balanced between both your right and left feet, and from the front of your feet and the back of your feet.
If your balance is towards your toes then the coil of your golf swing will be restricted. This means that you will swing short and quick, and you will not have as strong of a hit.
Have your arms hang down when you are swinging. A lot of people make the mistake of having their arms hang out. Correct this problem if you stick your arms out, and have them lay downwards instead.
Also be careful how far you are standing near the ball. A lot of people make the mistake of standing too far away from the golf ball. Be sure that you are standing where you are supposed to before taking a swing.
With all of this the most important thing to do to correct your golf stance is to practice. AST offers the best training tools to teach you how to correctly position yourself. The nice thing is that with AST you do not need prior training to perfect and correct your swing.
