When we start teaching money to children, it is something they will be able to take away and use to their benefit for the rest of their lives. The everyday things we do such as driving a car, turning the lights on, even watching the TV costs money. That is the reason to start teach money to children early so they will be able to develop an idea of how money can assist them later on.

The whole world is a kid’s playground, they will learn something new every day as they play. Parents can think carefully about the best games to teach kids about money. Children love to play games and if you can make them love learning about this topic with fun and excitement, it will help them in the long-run.

Teaching money to children does not have to be a chore but a fun activity that you can share with your child. Thinking of games to teach kids about money can be either bought or thought of. You can even participate in the games and give them a nugget of knowledge as they are on this journey. Below are some ideas that you can utilize to for teaching money to children.

Monopoly – Literally this game is the easiest to find. This will teach children about money in more ways than if you can do it yourself sometimes. This board game will educate your children money topics such as saving, budgeting and interest rates. This is definitely a game a recommend starting your kids off on.

Cashflow – This is the game by Robert Kiyosaki. This will basically teach everyone, not just children, how money works and how to get out off the rat race.

Game of Life – I used to love playing this as a kid. The players take turns spinning a wheel and you landing on different phases in people’s lives such as buying a house, getting an education and learning how to use and count money.

The examples above are some of the games to teach kids about money. Remember to make games fun as kids will enjoy it more and it will increase their increase in this topic which will definitely assist them later on in their lives.
