Singapore prides itself in giving quality education to their youth. In fact, its education system is one of the best in the world. It intends to prime students for leadership positions and therefore expects its students to give their best at all times. No wonder there are a lot of private tutors in Singapore. Parents think that a supplementary home tuition assists their children with their academic classes.

Many students feel that they require the help of a tutor to become competitive in the classroom. Home tuition is costly in Singapore. Sometimes, it is as high as a school fee already. But still, 90 percent of students still depend on it because they believe it is worth it to spend a great deal on their education. With home tuition, they get the personal attention of the tutor, something that they can’t get in the classroom and which is vital to help them address the concerns that they have.

Tuition classes are held on one-one-one classes at private, on a small group course at a tuition centre, and online. Group programs have been proven to make a positive impact on the confidence of the students, while on the web tutorials are becoming popular nowadays. Still, many students prefer one-on-one tuition sessions with a tutor because of its convenience and because the instructor can concentrate on their learning.

The problem with on the web tuition is that although it is convenient, lessons are still arguably better explained in person than via online video messaging. Both teacher and student don’t need to leave the comfort of their private and just communicate with each other online, plus the tutor can also concentrate their attention to the student’s learning growth, but there is still much to be said with having actual presence when coaching someone.

Group tuition sessions have close ratio between tutor and pupils. However, some still think that it beats the purpose of private tuition. And even though many tutors in Singapore working in a tuition centre also accept one-on-one lessons with a student inside the agency’s office, it is still bothersome for the tutee to go to and from the agency.

Home tuition, meanwhile, brings both convenience and focused learning for pupils. To find the right one, Singaporean students often search tutors with the help of tuition agencies that match their needs to the tutor’s skills. They also get to pick the time most convenient for them so they can learn without the additional stress.
