So many people have goals that involve returning to school and furthering or completing their education. Also, there are so many people that just never follow through with this goal. In a surprisingly high percentage of these cases, the only thing holding them back is the worry about financing their education. The benefits of getting an advanced degree are many — better jobs, better pay, more opportunities in general — but many people, for fear of the unknown of lack of information, don’t follow up on their dream. This is unnecessary, as you will see shortly.
Since 2008, when President Obama took office, he has made many changes to a multitude of Federal programs, including education. There are active new programs that grant money to many groups of people, especially single mothers and stay-at-home mothers, to allow them to continue their education without worrying about the cost involved. Also, in these times of economic distress, a higher degree will only help you in the job market.
Now, you won’t have to worry about where that money will be coming from — you won’t have to work 18 hours a day or beg family members to support you. No, many of these grants and scholarships are simple to obtain.
You an get up to $10,000 for college — that’s a grant that never has to be repaid — and you can even use that money for certain online classes, as well, giving you the freedom and flexibility to take your classes from the comfort of your own home. There are several categories of scholarships and grants: merit based, athletic, and needs-based, just to name a few. Needs-based scholarships and grants are the easiest to get for minorities and mothers of young children.
The entire reason for the essay is to communicate what is inside you to an outside audience. After you have finished your essay, check with some of your friends to see if hey will proofread it for any mistakes and also for overall readability.
