Being a single mother doesn’t have to put a roadblock in you wanting to go back to college, it isn’t as difficult as most women perceive it to be. If you happen to be over 30 years of age, you have greater chances of getting a grant or a scholarship than are most teenagers.
People in present day times have a lot of claims to make about a woman over 30′s life to be strenuous. But this stands totally false now. Scholarships have now been made available for such women who are keen on acquiring education and it is not at all hard to obtain. You just have to know where to look and how to apply and get them. Grants and scholarships come in for women all the time. There are many scholarship programs at your college that can give you $3000 or more towards your tuition.
For many scholarship programs, you are required to maintain a GPA of at least 3.0 to get funding. Schools also vary in the amount of scholarships that get given out every year. The application process is available online for many scholarships, and you should show them your desire to go back to college for your education when applying.
All you have to do to get a scholarship is to register, apply, and perhaps answer a questionnaire. Each scholarship will have different requirements. All you have to do now is wait on their answer. To do this, you contact the person in charge of that scholarship, ask for the application to be mailed to you, fill it out, along with a questionnaire about it, mail it in, and you’re done!
If you are over 30 it is not hard to get a scholarship. Applying only stands in the way of you getting money. You can get a list of scholarship and grant programs from your financial aid office. It may take a bit of time to apply but in the end it will be worth it if you get awarded money to pay for tuition fees.
