Technical Engineers Apprentices Are Being Sought After
Notgoingtouni.co.uk promotes a range of apprenticeships and vocational learning and has teamed up with British Gas to bring you some fantastic opportunities.
British Gas has a large amount of award-winning training academies and they guarantee you the perfect start to your career.
Over the course of 18 months, you will learn all there is to know about installing central heating systems, not to mention a host of other domestic appliances. Your training will range from classroom-based learning to on-the-job training with a local, qualified Mentor Engineer. So there will always be someone experienced on hand to answer your questions and give you the support you need. And don’t worry if you don’t live near one of the academies, as they can provide accommodation if you need it.
Once qualified, you’ll be pretty much responsible for running your own day. This means you will need to be really customer focused and self reliant. To help with your personal development, you’ll take part in the British Gas Award programme which is affiliated to the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme.
As far as the basics are concerned, you’ll need at least four GCSEs, grade C or equivalent. By the end of the course, you’ll also need to hold a full UK driving licence. If you haven’t learned to drive already, we’ve teamed up with the AA to offer discounts on lessons.
It is not necessary to have previous experience, but a background in a customer facing role will be beneficial. Other than that, we’re seeking fast paced learners who will be enthusiastic and realise the full potential of this great opportunity. So visit notgoingtouni.co.uk and look under plumbing apprenticeships to find out how you can take advantage of these apprenticeships.
Notgoingtouni.co.uk helps young people with their future by highlighting jobs and training that exist apart from university. There are a number of British Gas apprenticeships presently available as well as free career guides and over 300 videos on distance learning, foundation degrees, gap years, voluntary work and advice on getting a sponsored degree.
