Acne shouldn’t be blamed on puberty any longer if you’re over the age of 25 and you’re still getting troubled by pimples, zits, blackheads and more. You may have tried different ways in getting rid of acne, but experience tells you that it’s not easy to find the most effective one. Keeping it from occurring seems to be the best alternative, but this involves full dedication.

Get a healthy lifestyle. You need to clear out all the toxicities to clear your acne. Better watch your eating habits as well. As much as possible, eat less oily foods and steer clear of drinking too much alcoholic and caffeinated beverages. Drinking water also washes out oil, waste, and toxins from your body. It moisturizes your skin, keeping your pores from clogging. There is also the subject of exercising on a regular basis, avoiding stress, quitting smoking, and exercising proper hygiene.

You can try the said methods to keep acne from happening and keep your face clean and clear. The problem is if you already have them.

OTC products like topical gels and creams dry out acnes fast. Directly applied medicines that contain benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid are applied to mild to moderate cases of acne. For those who prefer natural remedies, many people swear by honey, oatmeal, ginger, or even ice as cures for acnes. However, all of these only eradicate the problem temporarily.

Topical products are not the answer to your problem if you have acute acne condition.

Acne creams and gels work in mild to moderate cases of acne, but they can’t kill the settle of the problem. Acnes should be cured internally. There are oral antibiotic drugs that are available in the market that may help clear out pimples, blackheads, whiteheads, and more. But oral acne medicines may contain erythromycin or any of the tetracycline antibiotic drugs. Those elements may induce side effects, such as discoloration of the teeth. Best check with dermatologist before taking any oral drugs.

Acnes are a monthly matter for some women. The start of their menstrual cycle activates hormonal level fluctuation, causing the oil secretion of the glands. For others, consuming oral contraceptives helps in eradicating their acnes.

Clearing out acne problems does not have an accurate answer for everyone. There are those who find some cures effective, while there are some who think other methods are a waste of time and money. Taking a healthy lifestyle is your best bet. It may not be a guarantee that you won’t have a single pimple on your face ever again, but it will surely decrease your acne problem.

In cases where surgery may be needed for women to regain a more pleasant appearance, including weight loss and treatments for acne, remember to talk only to experts.
