Choosing Styles For Short Men

By Mike Morton

In the view of media, any person who is less than 5’8″ in height is called a short guy. This has created a “short guy dilemma” in the minds of some individuals – and because of this it has become a lot more difficult for short guys to get dates.

Its also extremely hard for short guys to find clothing that will suit them perfectly – because as per the society a guy “should” be at least 5 foot 10 inches, tall and most of the designer brands make clothes for men keeping this height in mind – and this has made finding styles for short men very difficult.

If a short guy goes into a store to purchase clothing its extremely tough for him to find clothes which fits him perfectly. When a short guy is searching for a suit its also hard to find one that fits even moderately well – the sleeves might be too long, the chest area may be too lose, or a host of other issues. Most of the blazers would be very long and will look awkward if a short guy wears them. This means you may need to get these suits modified by a tailor. Better yet – and for getting a perfect fit, its better for short guys to get their suits custom made by a tailor, though that can get more costly.

As a short guys, when searching for suits it is better that you take a look at the cut and the proportion of the suit and not search for brands, as most of the clothing in those brands would be made for guys who are nearly 6 feet tall or more. Looking by size and cut would make the greatest impact in looking put together and women will notice the difference.

Its also recommended that one goes for the more classic looking suits as they remain in style for a very long time when compared to the newer trendy designs. Also if suits are distinct, people can recognize if you’re wearing them often when compared to the classic colors of grey or black. With classic colors it’ll become tough for people to recognize if you are wearing the same suit multiple times in a week to work.

Denims are a very good option for short guys. There are many different styles of jeans which are available. But it is better that a short guy selects those denims that make him look taller. One must always keep away from baggy and wide jeans as they’ll make you look shorter, whereas clothes that fit comfortably (but not tight) give the impression of a well thought out fit. There are many other styles for short men which are available and one ought to always take care that he is buying clothes which makes him look like he put thought into how he presents himself.

Women pay considerable attention to whether or not a man cares about his appearance, and with proper fitted clothes you will be able to improve your attractiveness significantly.
