The Need For Self Improvement And Motivation

By Lela Perkins

People mainly tend to appreciate their efforts in what they do. If they are satisfied, they will tend to relax and not aim at any improvements, whatsoever. It should always be a situation where one wants to give more that he had already given. This will however, only happen if they find some source of self improvement and motivation to keep them going. If so be rest assured that an individual or the society at large is going to benefit.

How one can be able to successfully improve their work is now the main concern. One could set targets. In this way they will see the importance to work extra hard and meet their targets. If their targets are set monthly or annually, at the end of that period they should work on new targets. These new targets should not share any similarities with the initial ones. There should never be a depreciation in the way they set their targets, thus their performance will also be increasing all through.

Improvements can also be initiated through observation. In case of any hurdles met during the preparation of any project, it is important that one tries to find out how another person’s is going well. They can be able to ask questions in the process. These questions are usually posed to friends or anyone that shares similar interests. With the answers that they will get, they will be able to improve.

Some people do not have any creativity at all. Nowadays creativity is the source of all success. People should learn to use their free time wisely by sitting down and putting on the table issues that affect them. They should then try to come up with solutions even if it means researching on them. Each member of the group should then present their findings and solutions.

One can only improve a situation if they see the need to. It never works in a situation where one has no interest in their work thus sees no importance in improving it. This is where motivation comes in. By motivating themselves, the individual restores the same energy that they require to carry out whatever they want to do.

It should not always be a case where one has to say that your work is good for you to feel that it actually is good. Appreciating ones own job is the main way to motivate oneself. If you appreciate your work means you feel that you did it to your level best. You can even start another project knowing that you actually made it the firs time. So nothing is going to stop you this second time.

Intermingling with people who share the same interest as you could also be a source of personal motivation. Individuals get to see other pieces of work at different levels. They get to find out that people are interested in their projects through the questions that may be posed to them. This is because others would find their work amazing and want to know more about it. It gives one a feeling of appreciation in the community.

Lastly, it is clear that self improvement and motivation are almost one and it would e difficult to separate them. This is because motivation drives one to deliver more. It should also be a rule for everyone not to just relax but try and make improvements of everything.
