I was certainly not a believer of the different tales regarding about any near death experience. For I’m one of those individuals who believes with the saying “To see is to believe”. Although it does not mean I don’t believe in God. Because the existence of God is explained on a whole new level, wherein science and religion continuously debate about even in today’s time. But this all changed at the moment I, myself, experienced it.

Near Death Experience: Do You Ever Believe In Them?

People have given the concise explanation of near death experiences as a phenomenon in which the soul of 1 person leaves the body and catches a glimpse of the life after death. It was said that these people caught a slight glance of what lies beyond the boundaries of life but were able to return to their own bodies in due time and continued living to tell the tale. Feelings like weightlessness, complete silence, warmth and security are felt by the said person. And the presence of light is also 1 typical factor to every near-death experiencer.

For someone who almost got killed in a motorcycle, I thought my life was already over and that it flashed out of my sight the moment we collided with the car facing us. We were tossed a couple of meters away after colliding and it was a great thing that we didn’t die head on. But still to see your life flash in front of you, having death almost catching you isn’t a very good experience at all.

Near Death Experience: An Opportunity To Realize Life’s Importance

Although death is an unavoidable fact to life but to actually have your life taken away from you without you knowing is painful. Which made me realize – “If I die today am I satisfied with the sort of life I had up till today? Or could I further make my life much more meaningful and die happily and contentedly?”

We take things for granted. We don’t realize what exactly matters more in life not until we’ve already been stripped of that.

And having a near death experience made me realize exactly what there is to life. What more I possibly could do with my life. A life of second chances.
