Foods that Stimulate Chakra Healing and Balance

Following is another meditation for healing the third-eye chakra.Sit in the lotus position, legs crossed, back straight.If it is more comfortable, you may sit on a chair or sit with your back against a wall for this meditation.Make sure your back and neck are straight and elongated.Slowly breathe 5 deep breaths through your nose.You should feel yourself starting to relax.
The Third Eye Chakra awakens our imagination and our intuitive vision of ourselves as having value and of being connected to higher realms of awareness.Unlike the Root chakra, whose primary function is supporting primal, base instincts, agression and group mentality, the Third Eye energy creates intuition and psychic awareness.Our perceptions become more accurate.Third Eye vision is fearless. Located on the brow in between the eyes, this energy center supports the Pituitary Gland, which creates nine essential hormones that enable our bodies to function.This Chakra opens us to the connectedness of all things.
The Third Eye is stimulated by the color Indigo, a rich deep bluish-purple color; the color of the night sky just after sunset. When we meditate to achieve higher levels of consciousness, we turn our eyes up to focus upon this Chakra. It is through the third Eye that we achieve self-realization.Seekers throughout time have devoted their entire lives to the process of fully awakening this Chakra.It’s vision lends to fantastical voyages and experiences in our lives, dreams, astral travel and ESP.Developing this energy center can stimulate and enhance these activities.
When the Third Eye Chakra is blocked with heavy or dull energy, we can suffer from all kinds of emotional and physical imbalances.This is the realm of nightmares and sleep disorders like insomnia.A person who is diconnected from their Third Eye can be manipulative, flighty or lacking in presence; that ethereal quality that intrinsically denotes purpose and clarity. Physically, a third Eye imbalance is related to vision problems, blindness, headaches and Schizophrenia.It is important to find balance and connection with this part of ourselves.
There are simple, effective ways to access this Third Chakra energy and stimulate it’s movement.We have in our hands all of the power that we need to activate our own healing. Often when we are stressed, our hands immediately go to our eyes, as if we are attempting to block out the burdens that are plaguing us.Rubbing our hands together we can create energy that can be used to stabilize the Third Eye before we reach a state of crisis.Visualize your third Eye being flooded with healing Indigo light, and feel the relaxing presence of your higher self.
The Heart chakra requires true nourishment to thrive. Foods high in iron, such as spinach, and rich leafy greens like kale and chard are excellent in maintaining proper heart chakra balance and function, as are broccoli and brussel sprouts. Teas, especially green tea, promote well being and flow in the heart chakra, and spices that leave a pungent taste on the tongue such as cilantro and parsley, thyme and oregano are excellent cleansing agents for heart chakra blockages and imbalances.
