Understanding Creative Thinking Techniques.

basically, creative thinking techniques are a way of applying methods or procedures to find new or improved ways to do something. There is nothing in existence that can’t be improved or revamped. Unfortunately, the toleration of status quot or negative thinking is what impedes improvements or keeps us from seeking better remedies. But once creative thinking takes over, then new thoughts can flow that encourage the human mind to come up with a way to do it better. By encouraging and compiling the thoughts and recommendations of proficient and learned participants in a group, the results can be fantastic. But it is key to apply the most creative thinking techniques in the forums or meetings in order to achieve the best results.

Proven Creative Thinking Techniques.

1. The most crucial requirement is believing that something can be realized, changed or improved. When there is no belief for the success of the project then the invested time of the individuals is wasted. All participants must have an “I’m sure that I can do this” attitude. When you commence with this belief the power and vigor will flow to the ideas and creativity of all the members.

2. The participants in the group must be open to new suggestions. progressive thinking and ideas will stimulate creativity in the mind and flow from the positive thinking. When you are holding group sessions arouse creative thinking and discourage traditional thinking. The group leader should attract all individuals to be included in the conversation. This particularly applies when an individual feels that they have nothing worthwhile to contribute. Their thoughts or ideas could activate comments or advice from others in the group.

3. encourage and direct participants to be participating listeners. let the person who is speaking to end their thought or idea. When participants are continually interrupted by others in the group this is an sign of people who are not actively listening but only wanting to have their own ideas heard. This is more for being noticed by others than coming up with an betterment to the present condition.

4. Keep a written record about all ideas discussed at the meeting and keep the file active. Quick judgment should not be applied to any idea until sufficient time has been devoted to determine if the idea has any merit. Surprisingly, the ideas that sound far fetched could end up being creative after enough time has been devoted to make it thrive.

5. If you are the leader of the group then you do want to control the meeting with your own suggestions. You should role play more as the listener who accumulates the thoughts and suggestions of others. When submitting your own ideas you should present them as a question. By doing this the other participants can work on your idea and hone it to accommodate their own thoughts. You can then review the new idea and judge the new perspective of your idea for any possible alteration.
