Folding Your Boardshorts

By Angela Kitson

It would not be surprising if many of you guys have already become addicted to wearing boardshorts or even folding your boardshorts as they are the most comfortable casual wear. Maybe, some of you associate boardshorts with surfing or why not, tanning on the beach. If we lived in 2005, you would be absolutely right but we live in 2010 now and things seem to have changed. The main difference is that boardshorts could be worn nearly everywhere and nearly all the time- and you would not look weird at all. As a matter of fact, 70% of the guys wear boardshorts this summer and that’s what made them the greatest hit probably.

Of course, the word “almost” is very important in this case. Saying that boardshorts are worn everywhere would be wrong and inaccurate. The reason is that when at formal occasions, it would be very inappropriate for guy to wear boardshorts.

However, there is a question which may seem strange to most of the guys (maybe 98% of them) but it is of great significance. So, the question is: “Do you know how to fold your boardshorts”? Yes, it does sound crazy to you, doesn’t it?

Here is the logic: if you do not fold the boardshorts properly, they will need more ironing and more often! So, you probably know that ironing will lead to fading of the colors, loosening and will also increase the risk of fast worsening of the fabric’s quality. You do not want all that to happen to you, do you?

Now, we could already hope that the first goal of the “mission” has been achieved. Hopefully, you have already realized that folding your shorts in the best possible way plays a vital role and will help you enjoy your favorite shorts for much longer.

But what is more important in our case is the procedure of folding itself. You probably think that folding your shorts in the best possible way is very difficult and time-consuming. Well, here is some news for you: you are completely wrong! Folding the boardshorts is easy as a piece of cake and it will take you no more than 2 minutes to fold all of the boardshorts you have got.

Believe it or not, there are just two steps that you need to follow. The first thing to do is folding the boardshorts vertically so that the legs are together and the pockets are on the outside. Keeping in mind that most of the boardshorts do not have pockets, you will conclude that it will make the first step even easier to complete. And once you have taken the first step, all you need to do is bringing the legs around 7-8 centimeters below the waste-line.

Well, Congratulations! You already know not only that folding your boardshorts will keep them hale for a longer time but you also know how to do the folding itself. Let’s hope that there will be no other excuses for unfolded pants and boardshorts in front of your girlfriend. You already know that it’s fast, easy and effortless.

When surfing or just chilling at the beach, nothing is more stylish then a great pair of boardshorts. Our favorite styles are Quiksilver Boardshorts and Ripcurl Shorts. Check out the latest styles.
