Before writing this article about red high heels, I asked five girls in my office to answer this simple question: “What is your connotation about red shoes”? Four out of five people answered SEXY, leaving one woman to answer ELEGANCE as the first word that comes into her mind when thinking of red shoes. Another set of individuals was asked, “What is the first word that comes into your mind when you see red high heels?” All five men replied with word SEXY. And these results gave me a solid idea about red high heels.
But, of all colors, why pursue for a red one for your shoe? Simply because it is the color of sexiness, of maturity among female and this color prelude men’s attention easily. Red has been known to be a color of strength, of power and authority. Some men have desire for girls who are overpowering, girls who are independent and mature. When someone wears red, it depicts the strong personality of that person in red shoes. It may be subjective but being the same effect among several men made this hypothesis a factual truth.
Red is the color of blood and life. People have been used to paint a heart shape with red and there has been no other perfect color for love except red. However, some symbols in red also relays danger and threat. It is even used to signify stop or discontinuance. Whatever the purpose, font in red color is always the first choice in sending strong messages.
Every little girl dreamed of owning a pair of their own red high heeled shoes. Do not wonder how they got that idea. They saw it from fairytales and movies. Red is the mostly used color for shoes of every girl as it highlights the beauty of a woman while wearing a gown and waits for his prince charming.
But not all people choose red for their clothing or shoes. Basically, they hold on to the idea that red, being a strong color, is hard to be matched and mixed with other colors. That is a big no. Red is the color of flower, and flower stands beautifully in the garden together with other bloomed flowers of different colors. When matched with yellow, violet or green, or simple white, red will make an astonishing combination. Red is not that hard to be worn because it can go along easily with other colors and allows room for creativity in matching colors.
The height of the high heel sandals forces the butt and chest to be out, resulting to a better posture. Good posture leads to good impression. Do not compromise your chance of walking as if you are in a runway. Wear your best red high heels and walk like a super model.
