One of the biggest mysteries surrounding these pyramids is the secret of their construction. Over two million two ton blocks were used to build these pyramids, and how such huge blocks were transported still remains a mystery today.

Pyramids aren’t the only interesting historical sites in Egypt. Another famous landmark is the site of the Abu Simbel temples. These temples, located in the Nile River Valley, were crafted almost three thousand years ago. One temple, guarded by four huge statues, was build in order to honor Ramses II. The other was built as a temple to the sun god, but also as a monument to Ramses’ wife, Nefertiti. This spectacular sight can only be appreciated first hand, along with many more spectacular destinations. Other sites your must see are the Temple of Karnak, the West Bank, and Saladin Citadel. These sites are not only ancient and historical, but also always breathtaking.
