Its important to obtain accurate and relevant information for your South Africa travel if you want to make the most of the beautiful region. South Africa is separated into 9 Providencse, they have a strong economy with a great influence in African Politics. The wonderful country has varying landscapes with as many different languages as Providences.

Most flights travel to South Africa directly so layovers are usually minimal. Then their are domestic flights which conveniently take people to other areas. While in South Africa, you might as well stay and enjoy the rich culture and history in that area. It is a fabulous place to enjoy your travels.

There are many wild animals roaming around with a wonderful array of species. In the Nations Parks there is information on the natural history. Some of the animals you might encounter, may be dangerous, so take caution in approaching any.

A person needs to check with a travel agent or Home Affairs for information regarding a visa. For most foreigners, the visas are normally good for 3 months.If someone wants to stay for an extended amount of time, they need to apply for extension of up to 6 months. A visitor will not be allowed in the country with out a visa, if they are required to have one. They do not issue them in the country. They will be sent home.

Also visitors need to have a return ticket before they are allowed in the country, along with a visa. It may take a few months to acquire a visa, and it also needs to be valid at least 30 days after the date you intend to depart.

As far as lodging is concerned, there are numerous places to choose from including several national hotel chains, Bed and Breakfast, Guest Houses, and time shares, to name a few. There is something for every budget so please take your time and do your homework.

Almost all Africans do speak English as a second language and it follows the Britain rules in spelling. 11 different languages are officially spoken in South Africa which creates a cultural melting pot.

There are several ways to get around the country including a great domestic air system and a bus system which covers major cities. Railroad is a comfortable way to travel in South Africa, while car is always an option. If traveling by car, be sure to learn the rules and signs of the country before driving, as the accident rate is relatively high. You would be wise to watch out for wild animals, especially at night.
