Egypt Day Tours – Booking A Holiday, Tour Or Vacation In Egypt

By Bobby Lee

In my capability as the UK Director of Operations for One World Tours Limited, over time, it came to my attention as to what a minefield in can be making your reservation for a vacation in a destination like Egypt through the myriad of “internet” based travel companies; especially local Egyptian companies

I therefore although it might be helpful to recommend a sort of “checklist” of points to look for and questions to ask “prospective” holiday suppliers.

1. Are they a travel agent or perhaps a Tour operator?

Especially at a local level, service from a tour operator is frequently higher than that of an agent as tour booked through local agents “can” risk the reality that the agent is simply passing on your booking to a third party. This is not usually the situation, but it’s some thing to consider. Comeback if you have issues is also to be regarded as an agent can blame the third party and the other way around.

2. Do they require a deposit or are they offering payment in full on arrival?

If the company you are possibly booking through take payment in full on arrival, it indicates one matter – you aren’t booked. Will a business risk booking hotels, tour guides, drivers etc on the opportunity you might really turn up ?

3. Do they accept credit cards as payment?

This really is essential whether you are planning on paying that way. Accepting credit cards (especially in travel fields) will usually mean the business has been quite well vetted and definitely will offer you certain additional assurances (and of course safety)

4. Do they provide Testimonials?

The second half of this question maybe the most important part, “Do they provide Testimonials.and can you contact them”? If their testimonials are genuine then certainly there is no reason why they can’t be contacted.

5. Do they have a recognized complaints procedure?

Any forward thinking and truthful company will realize that there will always be the odd problem. Having a complaints procedure available demonstrates that the company won’t simply try and fob you off, but from the ground up, they’ll attempt to fairly look after any problems you might have.

Hopefully these five things might help you with respect to your future plans when considering a trip to a country such as Egypt.
