Ah, the beautiful country of Spain, Southern European pearl. Love of my life. I have loved this country since I first visited it, more than 25 years ago. Since the first time I visited, I have been there many, many times and have seen the country in all its facets and from top to bottom. I saw cities like La Coruna, Madrid, Barcelona, Zaragoza, Toledo (what a beauty) and southern cities like Marbella and Algeciras (close to the rock of Gibraltar).And one of my favorites is the Burgos region. The orange mountain tops are simply gorgeous.

I was driving through Spain many times for my employer. This company was delivering goods mostly for big corporations and governments. So I guess you can say I saw Europe from North to South and from East to West. And Spain has always been a country I was eager to visit time and time again. Life in Spain is lived in the streets. Spanish people eat together outside and when you ever visit Spain, this is something you will love to see.

Now, the climate is of course not that bad either. Especially during winter, the south of Spain is a great area to spend some time. With temperatures that range from 20-25 degrees Celsius, life is very pleasant. You’ll find a lot of retired people living on the south coast and having a good time.

But let’s not forget the beaches of Blanes and Lloret de Mar, close to Barcelona. And if the mainland doesn’t do it for you, then what about the Canary Islands, which are also part of Spain? Yes, if Spain itself doesn’t do it for you, then great locations like Tenerife and Lanzarote with their great climate and beaches will make you happy.

And for the tourist who wants a flavor of Spanish Nightlife, you need to visit Madrid, Barcelona and Valencia. Those cities are so alive, and have great restaurants and bars in the city center. If you want to visit the whole of Spain, you might be busy for a few years. Yes, Spain is a great country and spending some time over there is an absolute must if you like sun and fun. It will be worth every penny you spend over there.
