If one is planning to go to the west, then they must surely visit Canada. With its unparalleled natural beauty to the metropolitan cities, Canada has its own charisma to lure tourists all over the world.

One cannot help but appreciate the beauty of Niagara Falls in Ontario. It is thus an excellent holiday spot for people who are bold, romantic and looking out for adventure. Vancouver is known for it natural beauty as it is surrounded by water and mountains. Toronto is the largest city in Canada and also the financial center. Toronto is well known for Mount Baker and Stanley Park. It is well known for the Toronto International Film Festival. Toronto also boasts of the famous CN Tower.

Montreal is another great city with its links to European history and culture. Quebec City is famous for its medieval period architecture, forts and cobblestone walkways. The city is dominated by French culture. The city of Victoria is a popular port and tourist destination. There are a number of historical buildings in the Canadian Village of Richmond.

Canadian culture is predominant in Ottawa, which is the capital city. It is also well known for its lakes, parks, museums and the Rideau canal. Lake Louise in Alberta is famous for its rocky mountains studded with beautiful lakes and glaciers. ThePolar Bear Capital of the world is in Churchill in Manitoba. Here one can view the wonders of astronomy which is the Aurora Borealis or the Northern Lights.

Canada is an ideal destination for outdoor sports as well. Camping is a famous pastime during summer. In winter people go for skiing and snowboarding. Golf is also played with equal passion out here. The other well known outdoor interests are canoeing, mountain biking, climbing and fishing.

Canada is not all about nature and beauty alone. There are a number of festivals and events happening in Canada all through the year. Vancouver is well known for the largest fireworks competition in the world. In Ottawa, the Canadian Tulip festival is hosted. Other events include the Calgary Stampede, Edmonton Folk Music Festival and the Quebec Winter Carnival. All these festivals are celebrated with great pomp and extravaganza through the year.

Because of its diverse culture and climate, Canada is a favorite tourist destination today. It attracts immigrants who come here looking for greener pastures in terms of employment or higher education and research.
