Some Sweet San Jose Hotel Specials

By Henry Hedges

If you’re coming to San Jose, get here fast and stay long. Having lived here for five years, and the Bay Area for twice as long, I know what it can be like to try to make sense of the city. Here, in the Heart of Silicon Valley, you will find a host of San Jose hotel specials, world-class museums, five star restaurants, and great people.

I know most people don’t expect much when they come to San Jose. They think it’s a city that somehow grew up in the Sixties. The fact of the matter is the city was founded in 1777. That makes it as old as the nation itself. Initially conceived as a Catholic mission, that small hamlet is now the epicenter of the computer industry. From one empire to another, the city has survived and even thrived.

Whatever brings you to San Jose, whether its business or pleasure, you’re going to need a place to stay. You’re going to need a place to recoup and rest. Unless you’ve got relatives who can put you up, you’re going to have to pay for a room. This means a room in a hotel. It could mean a Super 8 or Motel 6, but if you’re smart, it should mean a little nicer place.

A little nicer place means something like the Larkspur Hotels or the Hilton. Yes, you will end up paying a little more, but as with all things in life, you get what you paid for. If you’re content with a slightly smelly, over-air-conditioned room, then have it. But, if you’re willing to pay $40 more, you could have been enjoying something special.

If you know the way to San Jose and you’re coming, bring your sense of humor and enough money to make you stay a memorable one. Yes, money can’t buy love, but it can buy a gorgeous hotel room and a spa treatment. It’s a trade-off. See you around!

Some truly sweet San Jose hotel specials are just a mouse click away. Or, if you prefer to talk to someone on the line, make that call and start saving today.
