3 Way Links – Will They Increase Your Pagerank?
Search engines determine your page rank using a variety of factors, but one of the main factors is link activity. If this is all new to you, don’t get your knickers in a twist, all will be explained.
Inbound links point towards your site from others.
Outbound links are the URLs you add to your site, that point to external sites.
Links that direct the visitor to pages and articles within your site, from your site, are called internal links.
Swapping links with another website is called creating a reciprocal link. These are not always as useful in search engine’s eyes as other links.
Google considers the number of outbound links you have from your website and compares this to the amount of inbound links that are pointing in towards your site. If you have a lot more outbound links, than inbound it could have a negative effect on your page rank, which could result in less traffic and fewer sales for you.
Do you spend a lot of time writing articles, submitting to directories and social networking? Whilst these are all great ideas, there is a far easier and more effective way to do things and it is called Three Way Links. Basically it is a way to get unlimited backlinks to your site. For me, it worked wonders and just by using this technique I had an unknown website go from obscurity to the top of Google. You can imagine the sales and traffic my site received!
So what are 3 Way Links anyway?
I am sure you know, normally when setting up a reciprocal link to a site, you link site A to site B and vice versa, whilst this is no bad thing, Google much prefers one way links and will reward your site with a higher page rank if you have these one way links pointing in. Three way linking uses three different sites from one niche. Site A links to Site B, Site B links to site C and site C links back to site A.
This means that the links are of very high quality, as each site has one unique link pointing towards them.
You should really give three way links a try. It will save you so much time tracking down reciprocal links and everyone benefits far more from this arrangement. It can still be a pain trying to track down these links manually, so I prefer to let a software do it all for me. I just set it and forget it and watch my site work its way to the top. Nice!
