Let me go ahead and make one thing more than clear, if you are online and looking to monetize, you need to get Google traffic.
Web visitors that find you having entered your best keywords into the search engines are simply the best visitors you will ever get. Without question.
And take any idea you have that this is an easy game and get rid of it as the search engine business is very, sometime deadly serious.
What this will mean is that your idea of what your best keywords is about to be called into question.
Your best chance for getting this coveted ability to get Google traffic is for you to start to collect your best long tail keywords.
And what are long tail keywords? Simple, they are keywords that are three words or more than three.
While most web owners that we run into continually agrue that they have very specific two word keywords, what they are failing (unfortunately) to realize is that the two word keywords are incredibly competitive.
And you will be using these three word keywords because there is far less competition for them and that means far more chance for you to get them to Google page 1.
Two word keywords,,,like “golf ball” have a massive amount of competition. “High spinning golf ball” has far less competition and while it also has less traffic, it gives you a chance to get it to page one to start to sell your golf balls.
If you want true success from the engines and the traffic they will send you you must begin to appreciate the huge fight that is going on for these keywords and the amount of money represented in each.
This game must be appreciated in your ability to rank for these keywords. Going after the wrong ones will accomplish nothing. You need to get Google traffic? Then you need to get into this correctly! And to get Google traffic, you need to play tough!
And where will you put those long tail keywords in order to get them the positioning they need? Blogs and articles…all day and all night.
