The Importance Of A Sitemap

By Tim Riley

These days it is common to here about SEO in internet marketing. Whilst most internet marketers use SEO is one way or another today, it is evident that maybe not all of us are clear on some underlying facts of SEO. Search engines send out what are called spiders to your site to discover its content are report the findings back to the search engine, so it knows your sites relevance. If this is the case we should ensure that our site is as readable as possible for these spiders. So we need to arrange our sitemap.

A Sitemap is nothing but a graphical representation of the overall architecture of a website. There are basically two kinds of sitemap. One is HTML page which acts as a navigator of the different pages on your website by holding hyperlinks to all those pages and lets visitors navigate your website following those hyperlinks. Another sitemap is created using XML. This XML sitemap is commonly known as sitemap with a capital “S” and are generally used by Google to collect information about the website.

There are many reasons why getting the sitemap angle is important. Below I have shared why.

* Firstly, the search engines can index your site quickly. Simply by ensuring your hyperlinks in your site work, between pages means the spiders can get around easily and find your website. In particular, small internet business can benefit from the SEO key strategy.

* Your sitemap makes navigation of your site easy. It clearly helps any visitors or users access any page they wish with one click. Deeply nested pages in your site, are easily attained, which I will say makes the spiders impressed. Hence making sure you utilize your sitemap effectively.

* Ultimately sitemap will increase page rank, and also gets the traffic you need there too. Getting the inbound links is key to good SEO. So you must ensure again that the hyperlinks in your sitemap work. You can also use the sitemap as your keywords, making for high quality incoming links.

Hence for running e-commerce business and holding a website you must properly make your website search engine optimized. Though DIY SEO is easier to follow and got huge popularity among the crowd there are many rules and techniques to perform that. Many tools are available in the market to create an organized sitemap for a website. So it’s not a tough job to be done.

Please remember that without the proper sitemap all the pages on your site potentially go undiscovered, thus not resulting in ranking, and traffic falls.

Ok, next step now is to learn more about DIY SEO and then get the Lead System that will help generate tonnes of leads for our business.
