An effective keyword research is the ultimate key to your site’s marketing needs. It may appear to be a small part of the whole approach, but in truth, highly effective keywords will reward your company with an outflow of profit.

Needless to say, in order to be able to obtain sales, people must visit your site. But of course, these people should not be just anybody. Your target customers should be able to see your site. This is where your marketing strategy should be based.

In today’s methods, simply inputting your proposed keywords into a keyword research tool will measure the popularity of your search terms. These tools will help you find out how many users utilize that term when conducting their searches and some other essential information.

There are a number of wonderful tools available to aid you in identifying the degree of activity your keywords are getting.

You may use Google’s own free keyword tool which can be found under Tools in your Adwords account. This tool gives only an approximation, but still this can be useful. You may use this tool in combination with Google Search. You may be able to obtain authoritative information through this process, but take note it may require hours to do so.

Another method is the Keyword Effectiveness Index (KEI) Ration method. KEI compares the Count result (number of times a keyword has appeared in data) with the number of competing web pages to pinpoint exactly which keywords are most effective for your campaign. However, keep in mind that there is a certain amount of difficulty in this approach.

There are also some tools that will allow you to discover synonyms and other related words that you may have failed to enlist. Google Suggest and are some examples. Whats good about these tools is that they are free to use!
